MSort NIR
Highest Sorting Quality at Maximum Throughput with MSort NIR
Using reliable HSI (High Spectral Imaging) near-infrared technology, the MSort NIR sorting machine effectively separates bulk materials with the same optical appearance but different chemical compositions in fractions of a second. The MSort NIR is the solution when optical sorting is no longer feasible. It is particularly suitable for plastics, glass and minerals.

Functionality
Molecules vibrated by electromagnetic radiation in the near-infrared (NIR) range of 900-1700 nm are uniquely identified by an HSI near-infrared spectroscopy.
Bulk material passes the NIR camera in free fall, which detects and clearly identifies up to 10,000 objects per second. Special software evaluates the captured image information and decides in milliseconds whether the detected object should be sorted out or retained. The pieces are blown out by compressed air pulses and classified as out or in through a special nozzle bar in combination with high-speed valves. Using the highest industry standards, sorting efficiency can be up to 99% in one sorting step.
